The Beauty in Biodiversity: Gardening with Pacific Northwest Native Plants

  • Lummi Island Heritage Trust Resource Center 3560 Sunrise Road Lummi Island, WA, 98262 United States (map)

Kristin Currin and Andrew Merritt are the co-authors of The Pacific Northwest Native Plant Primer and co-founders of Humble Roots Nursery, a native plant nursery in the Columbia River Gorge recognized for its efforts in sustainability and promoting native plants. While ethically propagating many important species, their work and passion for Pacific Northwest plants has involved them with innumerable native plant endeavors including pollinator and conservation plantings of all shapes and sizes, school gardens, backyard habitats, restoration projects, oak conservation, rare plant conservation, and efforts to increase the availability of locally adapted native plant seeds.

Kristin will be conducting the main presentation, and Andrew will join her for the Q&A that follows.

This talk will be given via Zoom and streamed at the Otto Preserve Resource Center, or will be available to live-stream from home. Stay tuned for details on how to register to attend virtually!
